Case study / FrankieOne

How FrankieOne built a diagnostic bot in just 1 hour with ToolJet?

The primary reason we chose ToolJet was its self-hosting capabilities. The support has been excellent, and ToolJet’s platform has the core building blocks we need to get apps up and running quickly. We also appreciate that ToolJet listens to feedback and continues to improve

About

FrankieOne is a leading identity and fraud prevention platform that helps banks and fintechs manage KYC, KYB, and AML through a single API and dashboard. With a growing customer base and sensitive customer data at the core of its business, FrankieOne needed internal tools that were secure, scalable, and fast to deploy, without slowing down its engineering team.

To stay agile and responsive, FrankieOne turned to ToolJet to replace legacy systems and enable cross-functional teams to build, iterate, and ship internal apps independently.

Challenge

FrankieOne’s internal support tooling was built on a legacy Vue.js 2.0 application that quickly became a bottleneck. The outdated framework required frontend expertise to manage even minor updates as internal operations expanded.

To overcome these limitations, FrankieOne began exploring low-code platforms that would allow internal teams to build, iterate, and maintain tools independently, without compromising on security or flexibility.

Key constraints included:

  • A need to self-host for data security and compliance.
  • Lack of frontend engineers on the platform team.
  • To assist technically skilled non-engineers in building tools.
  • To skip the delays of dealing with vendor contracts and formal change approvals
What stood out with ToolJet was how quickly we could prototype and deploy apps without hiring new front-end developers, and the team’s responsiveness was outstanding
